Northern life was her niche. But now Yellowknife-based artist Dawn Oman is giving up her iconic polar bears and inukshuks for a new inspiration in Nova Scotia.
Oman is a direct descendant of Chief Snuff of the Yellow Knives, one of the signers of the historic Treaty 8 with the Government of Canada. Oman is renowned internationally for her depictions of northern life and designing art that is sold all over the world.
